Please post your response to The Big Lebowski here. Your response
should be no less than 200 words and should try to address the way the
film explores various philosophies through the lens of pop culture.
Somethings you could also respond to are the elements of genre employed
throughout the film and choices of style.

Please post your two narratives from the interview activity here! Remember, one should be structured linearly, the other should be based around an event. It is okay and understandable for some information to overlap. Each should be no more than a page double spaced (but no less than half a page). So, in total, you should have written between 1 and 2 pages for this assignment. Bring a hard copy on Friday as well for the editing/revision exercise that we will be doing.

In your post about the supplementary reading:
http://www.theatlantic.com/entertainment/archive/2016/09/how-pop-culture-tells-women-to-shut-up/502187/
respond to the notion presented about sexism in Pop Culture. Feel free to reflect on the examples the article brings up and/or write about your own examples, with attention to what these things say about our brand of Pop Culture. Consider how the article is working within its genre and what sources it's drawing upon. Obviously this is a rather open-ended response, but your post should deal with the article in a way that shows your own thoughts/interpretations and critical analysis.
Your response should be no less than 250 words and posted by 10pm Sunday night.
Have a great weekend!

For your post on "The Largesse of the Sea Maiden" please address the following prompts:
1) What are your thoughts/feelings about the narrator/audience relationship in this story? What do you think Bill is trying to say and what is the effect of the accumulation of stories you get in reading the whole piece?
2) Pick a quote from the story that you found especially evocative or meaningful. Analyze why this quote spoke to you.
(For this post, I expect--and will check--that your responses are 200 words at a minimum. You do not need to post questions on reply to your peers' posts, but you most certainly can.)
For full credit, post your response to these prompts by 10pm Sunday night. Have a great weekend!

Please post your two questions and response to your peers' questions
about chapter 2 of the Bedford Book of Genres by commenting on this
post!
I understand some of you might still be without power (like myself). If you've had trouble getting your blog posts done, don't worry, just please be sure to have posts for chapters 1 and 2 done by before we meet on 9/7.
